Ambassador’s Girls’ Football ~

On Tuesday 14th May the P7 girls competed in the Ambassador’s Girls’ Football Tournament at Richhill Recreation Centre. The Girls competed in the pool stages of the completion against Saints and Scholars, Kings Park A and Orchard County. The girls recorded a brilliant 3-0 win over Saints and Scholars and a nailbiting 1-1 draw against Orchard County. This meant that the girls qualified for the Cup completion and sadly lost 1-0 to Abercorn in the quarter final. A great day out was completed when Ellie Woolsey was awarded the Player of the Tournament award. Well done Ellie!

Girls’ Football 

Richmount Girls’ football team won the Richmount Cup, for the first time on Wednesday 22nd May 2019. They ran out as winners with a total of 13 points following their 5 matches. Throughout the tournament the team did not concede a goal, winning 4 matches and drawing 1. The results were as follows:

  • Richmount v Cope Won 1-0
  • Richmount v Mullavilly Won 1-0
  • Richmount v Birches Drew 0-0
  • Richmount v Orchard County Won 3-0
  • Richmount v Markethill Won 1-0

The team captain, Ellie Woolsey led from the front and was justly awarded the Most Promising Player Award. Well done to Ellie and the girls! They were magnificent!

Richmount Cup Boy’s Tournament ~

The Richmount Cup Boys’ Tournament took place on the school’s MUGA on Wednesday 15th May, with 6 schools competing. They were Richmount, Orchard County, Birches, Cope, Markethill and Mullavilly. Thankfully the weather was very kind and this enabled all participants to thoroughly enjoy the event. One player from each team was presented with an award for being his school’s most promising player. Richmount’s most promising player on this occasion was Charlie Stephenson. Congratulations Charlie!
